Alerts not sending emails

I have a very confusing problem, and hopefully someone here can help me.

I have setup a few alerts in the Advanced Alert Manager

I have these alerts set to email and/or text. When I test the alerts, everything works fine. Emails and texts flow as expected.

However, when a node actually goes down, nothing happens.

For instance, I took a non-essential server down, and when I look at the Current Events in the Alert Manager I see:

But, when I look in Active Alerts in the Alert manager I see:

No emails or texts are sent.

Please help.

Have you verified the SMTP server settings with your email admin

We are a fairly small company, and I am the Email Admin as well (I am the ONLY System Admin). So, yes, the SMTP settings are correct.

What is the trigger condition? Is there a reset condition or alert suppression conditions? What is the trigger Action? Do you only have it set for certain times of the day?

The suppression rule is unnecessary since a node can not be down and unmanaged at the same time. I know this is stretching, but you might consider removing that as a suppression rule, on this off chance this is causing a logic issue for NPM.
