Is there a way to automate Service Now CMDB integration, in order to populate and update the CMDB with Solarwinds?
Yes, I'm sure then is: by having an script run somewhere that pulls the information out of Orion and populates ServiceNow.
The challenge is the business rules for what you want imported, and what should get over-written.
I do not know if anyone has done this (since our CMDB is populating TO both ServiceNow and Solarwinds Orion, what we have would not be useful to anyone else)
And our CMDB is populated by our finance systems, so when someone buys a piece of IT gear and it arrives on the loading dock it's already starting to be added to systems.
