We are using the trap receiver in NPM as our primary receiver. Recently it started to not process some traps. What happens is it appears the traps just disappear in the system and we never get the event trigger. We have dug through the server and do not seem to have any server or network related issues. CPU,memory,disk all look good. I also had a sniffer placed on the systems and we are able to verify that the traffic is coming into the server for everyone of these traps. The odd thing is this appears to only be an issue with snmp traps. The regular Orion alerting and monitoring seems to be functioning properly. This has been ongoing for a week now and has become a critical issue for us. Has anyone seen anything similar or have any ideas?
