Alert variables and -PREVIOUS

Does the -Previous still work with variables? I tried using the 'textbook' usage of one (${LastBoot-Previous}) but it simply prints out the variable in my alert. has syntax changed or has this been removed from Orion or am I missing something?

this only works in the basic alert manager as far as i know (which I dont use).

It has not been implemented in the advanced alert manager and I dont think it is planned for the near future either (though I dont know that)

This is the kind of stuff the drives admins to drink. We've got the same need and never dug into why the variables didn't work with advanced alerts. Asking the obvious - why do basic alerts support features that advanced alerts do not? Solarwinds - please fix this....
