Orion 8.1 - Advanced Alerting - Manange/Unmange

Question

Hi there,

In this example, we are taking a site down for maintenance for a few days. The Advanced Alerting shows the site down (Good) but it shows up on our Summary page which is also good. But we want to say "we know about that so lets unmanage that". So have done that through the Orion manager but the Advanced Alerter doesn't seem to acknowledge that. It still sees it as a site down when we want to hide that obvious fact instead of having to cumstom write the the conditions for each site occurence.

I was thinking that if you acknowledge the alert then it that could be a reset option or a suppression option maybe.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure how you currently have the alert configured, but you may want to include "UnManaged" into your conditions. In order to clear the alert, how about if you alter the "Reset Condition" to something like the following:

Node Status = Up OR Node Status = UnManaged
