DNS and Machine Type

Question

I support an industrial facility that use Rockwell PLC, Vari frequency drives, HMI and other IP devices.

When I run a  Solar Winds scan, the DNS and Machine Type are sometimes populated, which could be very useful.

Where does Solar Winds grab the information that it populates the columns DNS and Machine Type?

This comes from doing a reverse lookup of the IP address against the DNS server.
