NPM Performance

Hello

I am looking at tweaking our NPM platform as it is slow to load and move around on. Loking at the polling engines and reading through the documenation I'm at a loss as to how I tell if the server is running at it's best...

I've attached a screen shot.

Would you say this polling engine looks ok or needs tweaking?

Do you have antivirus running on the server? If so make sure the Soalrwinds directory is excluded.

MarieB, this is this first time I've read about excluding these directories from AV scanning. Are there documented instances where this improves performance? Is this best practice for all Orion installs? Thanks

Support has seen many instances where excluding these directories from AV scanning has definitely improved performance. I can't say for certain it's a best practice but I think it's worth examining.
