Database maintanance

I have NTA, SAM, NPM, NCM installed. 300 devices monitored. I stopped all the services and ran database maintenance., its taking long. so is it possible for database maintenance to run for 4+ hours? or its hanging? any ideas. the error I got while running configuration wizard trying to repair database is: Error while executing script: the transaction log for database "tempdb" is full due to "ACTIVE_TRANSACTION"

can I start the services while the maintenance is still running? or they should be stopped until the maintenance is complete?

I presume you're referring to the Database Maintenance program that you can execute from your Primary Polling engine? If so, you should be able to start your Orion services with this running. In fact, with the services stopped, I'm not entirely sure if Database Maintenance will be able to run, which explains why it is taking so long.
