IP Monitor, Orion and Custom HTML

Are there any users of both IP Monitor and Orion out there? I am in that situation, and until Solarwinds has a direction and release as to how they will integrate the two, I would like to add the NOC Status view to my Orion page for our support people to have a one stop shop. I would like to use my current IP monitor filter settings so I only saw 'Red' or 'Yellow' items from the IP monitor NOC page.

I thought this might be doable with a Custom HTML module in Orion, but since I am not a programmer of any sort, it eludes me. Is anyone doing this out there?

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with IP Monitor. Is it HTML based? If so, you may be able to add a new web resource to your Orion page/s that includes a view of your IP Monitor page via an iframe. If you still need this, and it's HTML based, let me know the URL and I'll see if I can build a resource for you. Also, does it have security on it? If so, can you pass the login credentials via the URL?

We use this same methodology to integrate other apps with Orion in order to provide a "single pane of glass", and it works quite well, but the key is that the apps are web based.

Just to be clear, we have no plans to integrate ipMonitor and Orion. These products will remain separate. ipMonitor is intended for a smaller customers who need broad fault monitoring. Orion is intended for network engineers who need deep network monitoring, scalability and extensibility (i.e., NetFlow, VoIP).

We are borrowing some of the ipMonitor application monitoring functionality and adding to the Orion's application monitoring solution, but that will be delivered as an Orion module, not any kind of integration with Orion.

ipMonitor has a built-in SOAP API that I believe can be integrated with .NET applications. The only problem is, there is little to no documentation on how to use it. On the ipMonitor support website, there are some sample SOAP scripts and one in particular may work for your application:

Finally, and quite unfortunately, the ipMonitor support cannot help with building custom pages to hook into ipMonitor. They can provide some general guidelines, but not the nitty-gritty details. This may have changed over the past few years, but the last time I requested help, they went so far as to point my software engineer in the right direction, but stopped short of providing any sort of coding help.
