App availability report

Has anyone come up with a report that will show the availability stats for an application and it's components, but also take into account if the server that the app/component resides on is unmanaged? Since there's no way to unmanage an app I'm having a hard time coming up with a way to report actual unscheduled downtime for our monitored apps versus scheduled downtime. Anyone have a solution?

Although this isn't a short-term answer, I can tell you that unmanaging applications is expected to ship with the next release. That's still several months away, but the problem is going to be solved.

No, but you will be able to formally disable components within an app.

Disabling components was a nice addition, but it still doesn't give you the option to set a window for the disable. Also, by disabling a component it is effectively out of sight out of mind as it essentially dissappears from all of the Orion pages. At least in an unmanaged or unknown state you can set up a resource to show it. Unmanage ability at the component would be the best solution. It would be way too easy to temporarily disable a component, then forget to enable it after maintenance or down time is completed.

The ability to unmanage at the component level.

That has not as-yet been implemented as a feature of SAM, but this is still being tracked under FB28909.
