Nope. When I did our company's implemenation I asked the exact question. But for whatever reason (don't want to get back into it) viewing the webpage won't get you any sounds.
I ended up building a custom sound system for the IT department to do TTS (Text to Speech) alerts when we had things happen on our networks. Been working pretty well and definately gets attention when we have visitors and Kate (the TTS voice) is letting us know this is up or CPU load on this is too high, etc.

The more elements that are alerting on your network, the more impractical having a sound is going to be. Several years ago, at another company, one group thought that would be a good idea which lasted about 6 hours until one full glass of water went sailing through the air.
Sound gets annoying pretty quickly unless it's set up to alert on something that is catastrophic, and non-routine.
Another way this could be approached would be to have the polling server call an X-10 controller on alert, and turn on a red light or something for 10 seconds or so. There are several novelty stores that sell rotating lights too, so it could get kind of interesting.
However, the general alerting engine isn't really that intelligent or elegant. Hopefully it gets a revamp since it has been largely neglected.
