Hi,
I was look at a suppliers NPM page and noticed they had a supports details section under each node:
i can't work out how they did this, and would like to do a similar thing.
Any ideas?
Thanks
It's a two pronged process.
Log on to your Orion server & run the Report Writer where you can build tables of just about anything. You create a new report (or, better still, copy and edit an existing one) and then view it through the Reports tab of the web server.
Once you've got this far, you can then "Customize Page" on the NPM home screen and add a "Report Writer - Report from Orion Report Writer" Resource into one of the columns. Then do a "Preview, find your new resource section and edit the resource to select the report that you just made. You'll need to do some filtering in the "Filter Nodes (SQL)" using the examples at the bottom of that page.
You will, no-doubt, have to go through the process a few times to make the field correct and to size it so that it can be properly viewed within the column width, but it's very satisfying when it's completed!
My guess would be that they changed the name of the Custom Properties resource.
I looked into this, but how did they do the layout?
If you have not already done so, remote on to your Orion server and open the Custom Properties application.
Use this to populate whatever additional data references you require. From this point forward any of these additional properties you are storing at, in this example Node level, that have values in them will be shown out in the resource on the Node details.
Obviously the same applies to the Interface and Volume element types and detail pages
Thanks I've done but I can't get the layout looking like that.
I can only do something like this:
Looks to me that it may have been a report that has been embedded.
Really? Sorry but still don;t know how to do that layout
