Hi everyone; I need a little server configuration help:
Setup: We have an Orian 8.5.5 setup (1x SQL, 2x polling engines) each with dual NICs. Each NIC is placed in a different subnet/vlan for failover properties. The default-routes are configured for 0.0.0.0 on both NICs on the same windows server because the NICs are setup for high-availability.
The Problem: The polling engines are polling from both NICs on both engines and the SQL server is bouncing back and forth between the two active NICs.
How can we set up the server to only use one NIC and failover to the 2nd NIC when the primary fails?
Any help will be greatly appreciated (this is our first SolarWinds installation).
