How NPM monitor none SNMP-based device?

Hi, Guys!

NPM is very good real-time monitor for SNMP based device, but can it works on none SNMP interface device? for example, some telecom network devices, like device in SONET/SDH transmission network, they do not provide the SNMP interface. I can get some performance data file from these device by tftp, the file is in text format.

Is there any way that NPM can monitor that kind device? Does NPM provide other interface than SNMP to monitor the device?

No, not at this time, we reply on SNMP and ICMP currently.  Another thought though if you want to download that file and diff it etc you could look at NCM if it support telnet or ssh
