Custom view with more than one level in hierarchy: Data Center 2 > Product 1 > Web Servers? Template for "site", "resources"?

2 questions:

Question #1: Can I define more than one custom level of grouping for our servers, i.e. Data Center 2 > Product 1 > Web Servers, to make it easier to drill down in the web view, instead of seeing a flat list of 300 windows servers?

Question #2: can a template be created, whereby the same "Resources" will be monitored for a certain node type, rather than having to select the resources manually for every single server/node?

Yes, you can acheive both by using custom properties and creating custom views

I think the answer to question #2 is no, not exactly.
Basically you can only select the resources you want to monitor when adding the device in System Manager.
The only time I have see where you can select what resources you want to add to monitoring on each node, is when you use the Network Discovery tool to import nodes.
It allows you to select what type of interfaces you want to monitor before the nodes are added to the Orion DB.

There is no template to accomplish the auto-selection of listed resources. Use the discovery tool method as above to see if this gets you closer to what you want.
