Is there way to change which MIB's are looked at?
tekkie
Hey guys newbie here :-/ Just purchased orion and while I was evaling it I did not test something that I should have. We have SNMP4NT setup on some of our NT 4 servers so we can monitor Exchange, SQL etc.. with Orion I have no way of seeing any of this. Is there a way that I can modify the server object so I can put in these counters that I need access to?
sorry I looked around here for a while and dont see the answer

Unfortunately not.
That is one feature lacking that a lot of users have asked for.
Do a search in this forum for "custom mib" - exact phrase.
Here are some results:

Custom MIB support has been an often-requested feature from the Orion package. Orion generally monitors standard MIBs for systems, interfaces, and volumes...with a couple of Cisco extensions included for good measure.
MIBs cannot be changed, simply due to the table structure in the database. The tables are generated around the MIB parameters, and are not changable in the core application.
You'll need to use another program to monitor application status for the time being.
