Date stamping files on the portal

Can you please add the date the MIBs file was generated to the file name so when we mouse over the file on the website we can quickly see the file version? Something like MIBS-123110.zip would be very helpful.

In addition, could you please move the OrionLocalHelp.zip file to the Helpful Links section on our portal and date stamp that as well so when I mouse over the link I would see OrionLocalHelp-110210.zip? We have many servers that are not connected to the Internet so having updated helpfiles on the server is very useful and having this information in the filename will enable me to quickly determine if my file is out of date.

These are really simple requests that would make things so much easier when trying to determine the current version of the files.

Any particular reason you want to see it locked down? We are pretty open with our documentation.

Also, I think we will probably date stamp the folder inside the zip. That zip file is referenced in many places. I would hate to unwittingly break a link. Would date stamping the folder within the zip meet you half way?

It doesn't matter to me that it's locked down. I'm just in my portal downloading everything else which is why I requested it be in the portal. I wanted it there mainly for convenience.

I would prefer to have the datestamp on the outside of the file more than having it in the portal but both would be preferable. At least then I could mouse over it and see the file date before downloading.

I think it would probably just take a little education of people to know where its at but I think the value of having the date on the filename would far outweigh any broken links that are out there.

Besides, I think you've got an outstanding web shop so I'd be surprised if they missed any links before it went into production.
