Sidewinder Firewall CPU utilization incorrect

I have a few Sidewinder (now branded McAfee Firewall Enterprise) that are using standard SNMP polling in Orion NPM, but the CPU indicated by Orion is off the charts! Orion usually shows a 10x increase over realistic cpu utilzation - I've verified this by running top on the firewall, and using the supplied "dashboard" software from McAfee. How can I get Orion to accurately represent the CPU and memory utilization, easily?

Anyone else have this issue too? Anyone else using Sidewinders?

I will file a defect, but in the meantime as you mentioned here you will need to create UnDP's

im a longtime sidewinder and npm user and have never had that happen

? for you, do you use ncm to backup your sidewinder?

No, I have not used NCM to backup the sidewinder config. They use a proprietary DR config backup format, so the NCM config would not be useful if a full recovery is needed. I guess for CM tracking, NCM may useful but the Sidewinder admin console can query logs for change tracking.

wish i was more help to you but that is an odd one that i havent seen. i have 3 sidewinders that have been in orion for about 3 years now.
