We have twice had our core switch reboot unexpectedly. That caused every polled item to appear to go down. With the way the "send a page when node goes down" works, it queues up all 150 nodes as down and starts texting our phones using the notepagerpro app. In the middle of it, they come back up so it queues up yet another 150 text alerts to the modem.
If I unplug the modem, I can quiet our pagers. But the alerts sit idle until we turn the modem back on and they start paging us again. Other than walking away from the phone and letting the annoying back to back to back texts come through and run its course, I cant find a way to stop the messages from being sent.
How can we kill those unsent messages so they dont drive us nuts?
