Inconsistencies in Total Bytes Interface Charts

I noticed that I'm seeing conflicting information when I compare the traditional "Total Bytes Transferred" interface chart and the new interface chart for "Total Bytes Transferred". Both are configured for Today with a 10 minute sample interval. The traditional interface chart shows transmitted bytes averaging in the 12 - 24 MB range, while the NEW interface chart shows transmitted bytes averaging from 7.2 to 11.9 MB.

Am I missing something simple here? Are the new charts somehow summarizing data differenty?

Bump. It would be awesome if someone from SolarWinds could respond. These charts were the main reason I updated to 10.3.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The new charts are still in preview mode (CTP) so there may be issues like this present. I've asked the dev team to take a look at the issue and get back with more information. I'll update you when we have something new and keep the great feedback coming!

Quick update, we were able to reproduce this internally and are continuing investigation.

Thanks for the input! I've received information from Support that there is a fix in the works but for now it will only be availble in beta. I sincerely hope that a production fix will be made available since IMO this is a big part of the 10.3 release.

DirtySouth, the good news is we have found the issue and resolved it. The bad news is, we will not be releasing a HF for this and this fix won't be available until the next release of NPM later this year.

Thanks. I appreciate the update. I can't tell you how dissapointing this is. The new graphs were a major reason why we updated to 10.3. To be honest, I'm very surprised that SolarWinds isn't making this a higher priority. In addition to the inconsistent data, all of my IE 8 users aren't able to see any data at all in the graphs, which is also a known issue. I really don't understand how this could have been released without these things being tested properly.

Agree. Charts were a driving force in us upgrade to 10.3 as well. Appreciate you doing the due diligence and sharing your findings.
