SQL Query to show devices that dont have Discovery information

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a way to query the SQL database and see what nodes have been manually added (therefore missing the extra data added by Discovery used by Connect Now or Topology Builder)?

Once I have these list, can I run a discovery over the top and re-import these or will it create duplicates?

You can check the TopologyData table to see the NodeIDs that are showing the connections, then run a Join on the Nodes Table on the NodeID to see the Nodes that are currently Discovered.

If you are on 10.2 or higher, we have actually moved the ConnectNow/Network Topology from Network Discovery to the individual Node that is polled during Rediscovery to poll better information. This has reduced a lot of issues in gathering Network Topology information.

Spot on thanks, I'd heard that change was on the cards but didnt realise it was in 10.2 I'm currently on 10.1.2... Time for an upgrade I think!!
