Website error...

We upgraded from NPM SLX 9.0 to 9.1 SP1

After that, we cannot access the Account Views in the Orion Website Administration.

Every time we try to edit a view, we get this error:

System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Could not load file or assembly 'SolarWinds.Web.Gauge.V1, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6078881efdf7945d' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (C:\InetPub\SolarWinds\orion\voip\web.config line 65) ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'SolarWinds.Web.Gauge.V1, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6078881efdf7945d' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

We have had the VoIP module (trial) installed before, but uninstalled it again after the expire of the trial period.

The link is still there on the website, but when we click on the link here, it comes up with the same error as above.

Seems like the VoIP module is not completely removed and Solarwinds has some links to the previous install?

Please help!

Could you try the following?

1) Stop the Web Console

Start > run > inetmgr + ok

Expand websites and right-click on the SolarWinds NetPerfMon, select Stop

2) Empty your Solarwinds website folder (C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds on your installation)

3) Run the configuration wizard against the web console to re-install it.

Start > All Programs > Solarwinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > Configuration Wizard

Select Website and use the same installation folder.

Hi,

Are you getting the exact same error? Which version of Orion/Modules are you running?

I suggest you open a case and do the following:

First, turn on additional website logging for the diagnostics:

Go to:

C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds

and open the web.config file with notepad. Do a search for the word "WARN", you will see it

in the following field:

<threshold value="WARN" />

Change WARN to DEBUG and save the file.

Open up your Web Console, and reproduce the error.

Next, run the diagnostics file:

Open the \Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion folder.
Run the executable called SolarwindsDiagnostics.exe
This will create a zip file of the results - it will contains logs, events, and some information regarding the database etc.
Reply to the mail with that zip file attached

If the zip file size is above 5MB, You can use LeapFile to send the file to your tech rep. :

Go to http://solarwinds.leapfile.com and click “Secure Upload”
Enter support@solarwinds.net as the “Receiver Email” (Note: it's solarwinds.NET for this)
Fill out the form and attach the files to upload.
Once its been uploaded, just reply to the email to let know your tech rep. it's up there.

Now go back to:

C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds

and open the web.config file with notepad, and change the DEBUG back to WARN, and save the file.
