Recently i installed my hotstandby engine on a new server. There seems to be some problem with it because as soon as i installed it i can see my Primary poller status tossing between Running and Stopped. I observed it for a day and opened a case with solarwinds. Support suggested me to apply the same SP3 patch on this HSP also. I tried that but the patch installation was unable to stop the services and install. Neither i was able to stop the services administratively . It just goes into hang state and i have to reboot the server to bring all the services up . To minimize the impact on my primary poller i uninstalled the HSP and thought of reinstalling the complete setup again . Now since i have not changed the server hardware or reinstalled the server OS its again asking me for the license key.
I forwarded the request to installation@solarwinds.net for the same but have not heard anything back from them.
Can i still use License manager to get my HSP key released (i have already uninstalled the HSP)???
Am i missing something while installation of HSP as i don't want to face the same issue again. ??
Anyone who has installed the Hot standby before please help.
