FYI Moving DB from MSDE to MSSQL

Hi,

I've done the backup from MSDE, and restored onto the new MSSQL DB. Then the problems started to appear

But when I'm trying to open the "Configuration Wizard" nothing happens.. (The Icon changes for 5sec)

Anybody know of a way to change the configuration for which DB to connect, without running the "Configuration Wizard"

Update : Got help from Eric Martin at Solarwinds Support.

quote:1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
2. Click the Advanced tab, click Performance, and then click Settings.
3. In Performance Options, click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then select the option "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only".
4. Click OK, and when you are prompted to restart your computer, click OK.

This Solved the issue with the "Configuration Wizard"
