Change Window Monitoring

we have a regular change window every week, i would like to stop the monitoring of systems during the change window. i know that i can go in and "unmamage" the affected devices. is there a better way, maybe an automated way to stop monitoring every week during the change window?

Do you really want to stop monitoring? In my windows I keep it running, but I suppress alert notifications. That way Orion has a record of what happened so I can review it if there are issues post-downtime, and the emails and other notifcation don't go out?

I just add a schedule to the alert that disables it during my normally scheduled downtime. Below is the screenshot from the alert configuration.

my boss would like the change windows to not affect the availability percentage on the reports. and while i LOVE the scheduled alerts so that i can drop alerting during these time frames. this would not solve the availability reporting, would it?

I think you are right, the Availability % would be impacted. Personally I would still try to explain the % lost from the scheduled downtime, but assuming that won't convice the business, you have options.
