If a poller can not talk to the SQL server for any amout of time does the poller cache data? If so how long? And when the SQL server come back online will the poller dump the cashe to the server? If not why not?
I did a test and what I found is that if the poller can not talk to the SQL server it will shut down the poller and ask if you want to shut down Network Performance Monitor. So it does not do any caching.
