Advanced Alerting Question

I created a rule, enabled it for Volume Size:
Both are simple condition.
Trigger
Volume Size is Less then 157286400 (which I assume is bytes)
Reset
Volume Size is greater then 167286400
Trigger Action - Send email
Reset Action - Send email
I know I have a server with less then 1GB of available disk space in a node that has Volumes monitored.
I do not get any events generated. And I saw the bug for the to and from message field thingy.
The basic one for disk space works but sends only one message which is why I want to have an advanced alert.
Any suggestions.

I had a similar problem with alerts not triggering on some nodes. Turned out I used only the host name (host) of the mail server and not the fully qualified name (host.domain.com). I ended up just putting in the ip address of the mail server in case dns was down.

This is not a DNS issue. Becuase all the alerts in the basic work fine. It is a lack of good documentation issue on the advanced alerting.
