Orion NPM 10.2 Website Error

Hi All,

I have recently installed Orion NPM 10.2 on Win 2003 Server and SQL 2008 on Win Server 2003. I am getting Website Unexpected error - Request timed out.

I did open the case last week with support team and provided Diagnostic logs three times.

Has any one received the webiste error??? Please let me know the solution to resolve this.

My issue was resolved my support. In my case, my syslog table was getting pounded by a particular device in my network (13,000,000+ syslog messages in about 17 hours). If we turned of display syslog messages in the message center by modifying the config files, then it would come up. Development set the messages to display to only be 50, but even at that with the volume of syslog messages it took too long for the system to return those 50 syslog messages due to having to look through the entire table. For now syslog messages are disabled in the message center until I can fix that device so that it's not killing the table, after which I should be able to turn syslog messages back on and it should be fine one those older messages cycle out of the timeframe that's queried by the message center.

You did the right thing by opening a ticket with support team.I am not sure if you had a chance to run the configuration wizard.

I'm running on Windows 2008 Server with SQL 2008 and I'm having the same issue when I try to bring up the "Message Center". I've opened a ticket with support as well, but no luck yet. They had me run the configuration wizard again, but that had no affect. I'll post what the resolution for me was out here once they help me fix my installation.

Nandish: I tried all possible things on the server before calling the support. I didn't get the error when i installed for the first time, but started seeing that after couple of hours. IIS was deleted and rebuild. Run the config wizard several times and i am still getting the error.

My ticket number is 288628. My issue seems to be getting worse and matching what is being reported in the initial thread. It was just the "Message Center" that was timing out, but now I'm getting timeouts on my Summary page as well. I've uploaded Orion Diagnostics from both my Primary Poller and my Additional Web server via leapfile to try and help support isolate the problem.
