I'd like to get some information on the operation of alert suppression in Advanced Alerting . I'm attempting to set up an Advanced Alert that will notify me based upon the 'Down' or 'Unknown' status of any disk volume on any of my servers. However, I'm not interested in receiving the alerts if the server's status is down or unknown. When setting up the alert suppression, is the engine "smart enough" to know that when I enter "Suppress alerts if Node Status != Up" that I only mean that one particular node? In other words, if Server A has a failed drive, but Server Z happens to be down for whatever reason, will I still get the alert? I tend to think not. If not, do I have to set up a separate alert for every server?
