We had a Windows 2000 GUEST server (we'll call it MYSERVER) which uses IP 10.200.200.100 and it was powered off on an ESX HOST - we'll call it BigHost1.
The image was rebuilt with Windows 2003 and we kept the server name & IP (MYSERVER 10.200.200.100) and it was placed on a newer ESX HOST - we'll call this one BigHost2.
Now Orion can not see this new Windows 2003 GUEST server image by the same IP, but it still sees it as the Windows 2000 on BigHost1 with the same IP.
Orion can't validate SNMP on the IP (10.200.200.100) any longer. I deleted the object MYSERVER from Orion and tried a new Add Node, but without success.
NOTE: The new Windows 2003 image does not have that green icon nor does it show the IP address in the detail view of BigHost2. It only has the name MYSERVER.
Doesn't that indicate no SNMP service on Windows 2003? Any ideas on a fix?
Thanks.
