UnDP - vendor icon

Hi,

We have some devices (Raritan) that are well recognized by SolarWidns however some info are missing. We like to customize a poller to fetch all the needed info.

When i select the vendor or even if i simply copy the value provided by Orion i can't have the vendor icone.

Ho can i associate the vendor icon to the poller ?

About 3 month later i have the same question for Checkpoint device.

How can i define my own Node details with a custom poller and to keep the vendor icon ? I have try to change the value in the DB but it is reverted to default value a few minutes after i change it.

To add or modify vendor icons, look into "C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\NetPerfMon\images\Vendors"

Simply create a 16x16 pixel gif, and name it using the vendor part (first part after 1.3.6.1.4.1.) of the SYSOBJECTID OID showed on the Node Details page. (ie: if your Dell server shows a SYSOBJECTID of 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5, the file 674.gif will be used)

My trick is to use the favicon.ico usualy available on the vendors website, rename it as .gif and upload it

Remember to backup your changes as this can be overwritten when rebuilding website, or upgrading the Orion platform.
