Orion v10 NPM and McAfee v8.7

I'm running Orion NPM v10.1.2 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 which has McAfee VirusScan Enterprise v8.7.0i running on it. Performance of the server is patchy, the symptoms I'm seeing are when I go to the Orion login page, it can take up to a minute to render the username and password page, once logged in it's very sluggish.

Looking on the server, in Task Manager it shows the NetPerfMonService.exe and McShield.exe processes hogging most of the CPU time.

If I stop all the McAfee services, performance seems fine.

I was wondering if anyone else had similar issues or any advice to offer ?

Create an exception for McAfee to not scan the C:\inetpub folder!

And if SQL is running on the same server, try to exclude the scanning of the database(s)
