Advance Alert Action Missing

I am in a process of migrating all my basic alerts to Advance alerts .

In NPM 9.1 i am unable to find the Get URL or Post URL action in advance alerts however the same is available in basic alerts.

i have plenty of my basic alerts configured for this action whcih i want to migrate to advance alerts.

Why is this action not included in advance alerts . Is there a way i can do it ??

has anyone able to figure out a way to of doing this.

Support team says the feature is not in advance alerting.

When a feature is available in Basic alerting than why the same has not been extended to advance alerting like all other alerts.

This is a known shortcoming of the Advanced Alert Engine. It's something we will fix in a future release.

I tried to cover this shortcoming via workaround of executing an external program .

I called up iexplore.exe and posted my URL after it.

Initially worked fine but as my actions on alerts started increasing i figured out that this way i am opening iexplore.exe process but not closing it. after a certain time iexplore.exe stops working and i have to close all the open iexplore.exe programs from my task manager to make it work again.

I even created a batchfile to run every 2mins and kill all the iexplore.exe to make this process automatic.

Now i have 65 alert actions in a alert that mean 65 iexplore.exe will run incase an alert is trigered. it works for few actions only but fails for the few last 20 actions.

don't know why.

I know if i manage to do a post url function and than close the iexplore.exe on every action i will be able to manage it or a kind of reusing the same process for all action.

Any idea how to achieve either of this.

I'm not sure. It sounds like a problem of scale. Maybe someone else in the community has some thoughts of how to do this....

Even 9.5 has been released with the same shortcomming.

It is just a miss or there are other compatability complexities putting the action in advance alerts.

It is definately there in basic alerts so seems to be an old feature.
