Not sure if this is a common issue but when I was installing the server and SolarWinds Orion we ran into an issue where the server was able to receive data from the network but not send. It took a few days of trial and error to figure out the issue. There was no help in searching online tech forums and just incase this issue happens to anyone else I want the information out there for them to find. For some reason after installing SolarWinds the server was receiving packets and not sending. After playing around in the settings I thought about auto-negotiate settings for VLAN ID and how usually when it is set to 0 it pulls the information from the switch/router. For some reason the server was not pulling the information and upon changing the VLAN settings on the server and specified the VLAN the server started working! It now works perfectly fine. I am unsure why this occurred but I couldn't find the solution. We were close to just replacing the server for a new one when I made this last attempt to fix it and somehow it worked.
