Importing Nodes - Checking for Duplicates
nomc
Is there a way to have SW - check for duplicates other than looking at the ip address - say the system name? We've been rolling switches using a new ip address scheme - going forward. i.e.
10.113.50.x is now going to be 10.103.50.x
when I search for the 10.103.x.x it finds the hardware -
but I already have that in SW as 10.113.50 -
the system name is what I'd like SW to check and not bring in any duplicates based on the system name.
Thank you.

Try this,
Using the Orion webpage search for nodes feature -
Type in the hostname & then select Systemname from the dropdown box.
It will show you all devices with the search string in the SNMP discovered System(host)name.
