Solarwinds Information Service V3 consumes 99% of the Memory utilisation on Specific time

Hi All,

We have build a New Solarwinds Environment with Modules(http://www.solarwinds.com/Orion Platform 2018.4 HF3, IPAM 4.8.1 HF1, NCM 7.9, NPM 12.4, NTA 4.5.0, NetPath 1.1.4) but we have used the Database of our current Production Solarwinds(http://www.solarwinds.com/Orion Platform 2015.1.1, QoE 2.0, IPAM 4.3, NCM 7.3.2, NPM 11.5.1, NTA 4.1.0, IVIM 2.0.1 ) . After successfully build of the New system , we have seen that Solarwinds information Service v3 start consuming 98% of the Memory utilisation on specific timing around Daily morning 3.30 AM IST . Please suggest on the issue .

In which timezone is your server running ? Good that you have tracked down the trend which is 3:30 AM IST

Check for a couple of things:

1. Is any activity happening on SolarWinds database or on the network during that time ? Like backup or some trigger being run during this specific hour - talk to your platform folks.

2. Verify if by any chance is this the same time as 'Archive Time' on your DB, the default archive time of your DB would be set to 2:15 AM and that's the reason i asked in which timezone is your server running.

Thanks for your prompt response . The server is running on CET timing . Every Day at 12.00 AM CET (3.30 AM IST ) ,We notice the high memory utilisation . Most of the memory consumed by the Solarwinds Information Service V3 .
