Run Time error 429

Hi all

I've just re-installed Orion 7.8 on new hardware (after the last server had a bit of a problem with a server room flood) and I get the following error when trying to run the Configuration Wizard (at the Setup Database section of the wizard) :-

Run-time error '429':
ActiveX component can't create object

The account I'm using to install is the local admin account so should definately have the correct permissions. I've also tried re-installing over the top (although I haven't un-installed and re-installed yet as I don't want it to blow away the licensing info as I've had some problems with that too).

Anyone got any ideas?

Nm.

Uninstalled and reinstalled it under the local admin account and it now works fine

Incidentally, I also didn't have to re-license the server as it picked up on the origonal registration keys, so everything is now fine

I just upgraded from 7.8.2 to 7.8.5. Now I am getting this 429 error too when running the configuration wizard. Neither adding the wizard to the DEP exceptions nor using DEP for essential Windows programs and services only helps to fix it.

Are there any other solutions?

This solves it.

i am having the same problem in IP Address Tracker, I installed the Microsoft scripting 5.6, tried to register the .dll files, rebooted, uinstalled/reinstalled.

any other suggestions?

Reset Internet Explorer Settings
