Is it possible to make a custom report that will dump the events that include a certain interface on a node?

One thing you could do is filter on the Event message for that interface.
Example, open the out of the box Triggered Alerts Last 30 Days and in the filter result tab add a new condition for where Event Message contains the interface name you are looking for and add another condition to filter on the node name.
