map maker problem with 7.7

I have upgraded the Orion NPM from 7.5 SL250 to 7.7 SL2000 and the upgrade was sucessfull. Then I attached the database and its showing all the nodes and alerts in the Orion system Manager.

But the Map maker is not working. It shows the maps but when try to open the map gives the error "Run-time error 374: Failed to activate Vb.Usercontrol. This control may be incompatible with your application. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application" and closes the map maker window.
Its not even letting me create a new map.

please help.

Hi there jagraj,

It sounds as if a control or possibly a DLL was not installed or did not properly register during your upgrade. You could attempt to reinstall (this probably won't hurt and may even fix the problem).

If that doesn't work you need to speak with SW support. Their phone number and email address are on the SW website.

Even i felt like this and just reinstalled the same on the same folder on top of that. But now the map maker is not even opening up.
Its giving an error code 7: out of memory. Which again is a problem related to registration of the control.

Is it possible if i uninstall the NPM from add/remove program and reinstall the version 7.7. will it lose the database tools as well?. will i lose the database or is there anyway or option in installation that we can use the existing database.
I am not doing this as i am afraid i may lose my database.I am actually checking with the Sw support guys as well.lets see

Well the map maker problem is resolved by just upgrading the software once again on top of the previous one.
