Desktop SQL & Enterprise SQL

Hi,
I don't know databases very well but is it possible to migrate the existing data in the desktop SQL database to an enterprise SQL database? If so is it a complicated procedure or are there tools designed for this? We are looking at long term trending and I don't think the 2gb limit for the desktop version will do it, however I don't want to lose the data that has been collected thus far.
