Import Custom Poller into a Custom Property

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to do this? I have a custom poller that will show me the Dell Service Tag for a given Node. Obviously, this value does not change and is not worth polling continuously. Once I retrieve it the first time, I'd like to just populate a custom property (serial number) field.

I don't know of a clean way to do this, but I wrote a script to do that for my Cisco Serial Numbers....
you need to be pretty proficient with SQL and have appropriate DB access.
my example is below:

### SETs column name SerialNumber (Custom Column for me)

### --PollerName starts with "Cisco_SN" in the where statement...this would be your dell sn name.

### SETUP
UPDATE Nodes
SET SerialNumber = s.Status
FROM CustomPollerAssignment a JOIN CustomPollerStatus s ON a.CustomPollerAssignmentID=s.CustomPollerAssignmentID
JOIN Nodes n ON a.NodeID=n.NodeID
WHERE a.AssignmentName like 'Cisco_SN%' AND s.Status !=''

I would be interested in this as well. There are a number of similar fields that I would like to poll then "save" to a custom property.

You can also do this manually using the Export and Import function of the Custom Property Editor.

Export the IP and the polled field as a .csv file.

Then import the .csv file (match by IP), and put the polled field into your custom property field instead.
