If there is no reset condition, the alert will remain as an active alert.
What is the reset condition for the reboot of a switch, router, or server?
The alerts I have for up/down are fine. However, reboots seem to stick around until the server that is hosting Orion is rebooted.

Sooo..... you want us to modify the SQL database and to start utilizing advanced alerts?
It seems that if one of our monitored Windows servers happens to reboot the alert sticks around for quite a while. For at least a month so far. I haven't found a way to acknowledge or clear these alerts so that they no longer display. Anybody else had this problem and figured out what to do?Thanks
We "solve" this by unchecking the alert "Page me when a router reboots" in the "Configure Alerts" Dialog box. Then exit the dialog box with Done and reactivate the alert function again. Always felt that It was just me missing something, but I guess not... A bit strange this has never been fixed before. Should be an integrated function in the new engine to put in an timeframe for keeping the different alerts?
