Storage Manager agent high CPU

Question

One of the servers we are monitoring with SM is the Solarwinds NPM server. However, frequently the SM Agent process eats up 45-70% CPU, which alongside of the NPM polling pegs the server for long periods of time. We've even lost polls because of it. When will this be fixed?

One thing that may help is to turn off real-time performance monitoring. I'm guessing the STM agent is installed on that server because you need the end-to-end mapping of the shared storage the NPM server is using? NPM is capable of monitoring it's own server statistics, so it's unlikely that the STM RT monitoring is adding any extra value there.
