I put in a new ISR at a remote site recently. I am doing call processing at a remote site over the WAN.
I had a report of some calls going badly. I noted that router CPU had spiked in that period of the reported
bad calls and the latency to the site spiked. The carrier say they did not see a spike and I know there's
almost no traffic on this larger than necessary pipe. So I have a theory that a process on the router
spiked and this interfered with sending the RTP packets and slowed the routers response to
pings from NPM.
This me thinking if thinking whether there was a way to track in APM or NPM the CPU utililzation of
individual processes within the router. Any thoughts?
