FAILED TO EXECUTE HTTP REQUEST TO INTEGRATE WITH OPSGENIE

Hi,

We are trying to integrate the OPsgenie to Solarwinds and as part of it I am trying to configure Opsgenie create and close alert with a specific test device with a particular alert condition. By using send GET or POST request to server I have added the opsgenie API key URL and added variables. After creating alert, I have tested the alert, I can see the alert being generated in Solarwinds but http request to opsgenie is getting failed. No communication is being initiated to Opsgenie to check the logs from their

Are you still trying to solve this? Feel free to post the contents of your HTTPS POST action configuration from the alert and we can review it.

I'd put it out there that I am about 99% sure your API key is wrong.

Did anyone ever figure this out? I'm trying to integrate Solarwinds alerts with OpsGenie. HTTP Posts go through a Cisco Secure Proxy. I also have an existing integration with VictorOps that also goes through the proxy and is working.

The HTTP POST action via the alert menu comes in an old, bad format. My money's on that. It is not JSON.

If your endpoint needs JSON, you want to instead use the "execute an external program/script", pick powershell or similar, passing data in using arguments, and then generate the POST/GET request in powershell.

Executing powershell scripts is a faff, but one with a bunch of examples scattered around THWACK

Good thoughts, but JSON shouldn't be the problem in this case. I've been using the OpsGenie integration for almost a year. The HTTPS POST action that is built into NPM actually does work fine as long as the API key, URI, and post string are correct. Since the op indicated that no traffic is being noted in OpsGenie logs, my suspicion is that their API URI is actually incorrect.

I copied and pasted the URI / API directly from the OpsGenie integration page (see 1st image). My secure proxy is configured exactly the same for the VictorOps integration (which works). In the Alert post text I copied/pasted this: opsgenie-integration/triggerActionBody.txt at master · opsgenie/opsgenie-integration · GitHub (see 2nd image)

Sorry! Your screen shot really does look fine. Maybe OpsGenie's endpoint doesn't like proxied traffic or SSL inspection?

I have the same problem, but I try the same content in another PC and it's work. After I import that content into Solarwinds of mine and simulate then it appear that Failed to excuted HTTP request. Can you check for me and give me a solution, thanks
