Poll Disk I/O?

Hello,

I got a request to poll disk read write and errors. I have been playing with the custom mib writer for a day now and still can not get it to poll for this information. I was wondering if anyone has had luck doing this, or should I just tell the person requesting it to hold off for a while.

The devices are running windows server 2003 on a VMWare ESX box. Every time I find a OID that I think will work I check it and get unsupported OID

Are the ESX servers connected to a SAN?

Yes they are. I think you are going where I am thinking about going and just monitor the SAN

Yeah, the one that I am monitoring is a MGMT-EVA, its software that runs on a windows server, however the server team has to do math to get the reads or writes. The OIDs don't come right out and do that automatically for me, however I think doing a pure SQL query with math functions in between the OIDs would put the correct number on the web page for the server team.

Are you monitoring an HP EVA SAN? if so could you share OIDs?
