Storage requirements Calculation for Orion DATABASE-

Dear Experts,

we are planning to procure Solarwinds solution for our proposed  network( NPM,NTA,IPA,NCM),

We have a estimate of about 2000 Devices to be on boarded, And so we consider our's as a Large Environment ,

In detail,for NTA storage,  we need 8 GB for every 1000 flow per second , And so we can calculate based on the estimate number of flows,

But for Orion Database Server, Do we have any similar calculation to justify/Calculate the sizing requirements.

Not really because it depends on what you are monitoring interfaces, volumes, how many ip's, configs and sizes not to mention your retention requirements. Every organization is different. Based on working in different environments, i would estimate your database size will grow to about 200GB for sqlbased off the default retentions. The NTA stats dont seem too small to me to be honest but that depends how much traffic is flowing through the interfaces. One client i went to had 60 interfaces configured for netflow and there flow database was 60GB on a 30 day default retention.
