Event Summary Alert Resets

My current Event Summary show's Alert Reset with a count of 183532 messages and only goes up. Viewing the Events only shows you all my network interface's as 'UP'. Thats great that there up but I don't need alert resets showing me this...

1. Is this many Alert Reset messages normal?

2. If so, can I limit the summary view to any other messages other than 'UP' messages?
