Advanced Alerts with APM

This is the alert:

Trigger Alert when ALL of the following apply

Node Name is equal to test

Node Status is NOT equal to Down

Application Name is equal to http-monitor

Allpication Status is equal to Down

The way I believe this will work is if the node test is up but http-monitor APP is down notify me of the APP being down, and in this scenario it does this. Unfortunately if the node is down I still get the alert of the HTTP-Monitor app being down.

Any suggestion please?

Is it possible that this could just be a timing issue?  Maybe Solarwinds is discovering the HTTP-Monitor app is down before it discovers that the node is down?  If this is the case, you should be able to fix it by specifying that the trigger conditions must exist for a certain amount of time before the alert is triggered.
