All Nodes Tree - Network gear icons - Grey boxes

After upgrading from 8.1 to 8.5. All my network gear seem to show up with grey boxes under the All Nodes Tree (cisco, nortels and F5s ) When I dig down to the device or view it on Overview view the icon shows up normally (just green). There are no elements that are in unknown state. I've also tried rediscovering the devices, no luck. Anyone else with this issue using 8.5?

Also note, after upgrade I had to force a good portion of my nodes back to Manged state. For some after upgrade they were UnManaged.

This appears to be a "feature" of 8.5. Apparently, devices with interfaces that are "shutdown" now appear with the flashing grey box, which is supposed to indicate that some underlying elements of this device are in an "unknown" state. To me, if it sees that the interface is shutdown, then it knows the current state, so it shouldn't be flagged as unknown. Go figure... :P

I believe I saw another post on here related to this just recently, but I'm too lazy to search for it.

You are correct - shutdown interfaces should not get the flashing gray box. That's an 8.5 bug that will be fixed in 8.5.1.

OK, thank you both for the reply. I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing this and I also agree it should not show the node in an "unknown" state b/c an interface was shutdown. Makes Link UP/DOWN alerts more difficult.

Just and update. 8.5.1 does resolve this issue.
